MPOT aims to provide quality medical expertise in rehabilitation and injury prevention to both industry and specific target populations.
These include:
- People with an injury (who may have compensable and non compensable injuries which effectively prevent them from functioning at their optimum level and actively participating), or
- People who do not have an injury but who may be put at risk of sustaining one.
MPOT’s provides key services in Occupational Therapy, Risk Management and Rehabilitation Services that are concerned with:
- Promoting health and well being through managing occupational risk within the workforce.
- Promoting health and well being through occupation (in the broadest sense).
One of the hallmarks of Occupational Therapy is the promotion and enhancement of participation within individuals’ daily lives. One of MPOT’s primary goals is to not only assist people to participate in the activities of everyday life but also implement skills and approaches that help prevent injury.
Occupational Therapists achieve this through support and knowledge that facilitates people’s ability to participate or by modifying individual environments to better support that participation. MPOT provides sustainable Return to Work Programmes that are supported by the rehabilitation consultants
